CATSMAS AT MY PAD

Mommy finally put out all of presents [& Thumbers] and placed them under the tree, telling us that we'd better not peek...we didn'tSeeing as Thumber and I were good and didn't snoop she let us look at them for awhile and I figured I'd test mine out to see how it would be come opening time...seems mommy wrapped mine well, cause I couldn't get it open! Look at all the bows...they're my favorite!

Thumber just sat there sniffing at her's, so naturally I had to go over to give her some hints on what to do! When I got a look at her's I saw that her's were bigger than mine and I'm sure she got more! So giving her the evil eye I managed to psychic her out and snitch one....

Then mommy called me a bad kitty and I tried to hide it...but she said that wasn't fair to Thumber so I told her that I was only trying to show her how to open it....

Finally Catsmas morning came and we got to open all of our presents....I had to open Thumber's cause she wasn't smart enough and obviously never listened to my lessons...
Mommy spent the rest of the morning getting her food ready for the supper later that evening and I helped her by asking lots of questions....

Hope your Catsmas was as good as mine?

Merry Catsmas to all....

My Desert Island Disc

Jackson from Jacksonsworld tagged me to see if I could come up with my most favorite "Desert Island Disc". I'm not sure if this is on a disc or not but it's one of my all time favorite..."The Siamese Cat Song" from the movie "Lady and the Tramp" sung by my fav characters "Si and Am"....hopefully the you tube link works [mommy's such a incompetant with these things]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxpN2XrYDLM

My Newest Theme Song!

"Hork The Hairball"

Hork the hairball we all sing,
Find the spot for best puking!
Make sure it doesn't sit a while,
Warm and wet will make us smile!
When mom steps in it without her shoes,
Cats score one and she will lose!
Hork the hairball we all sing,
Find the spot for best puking!

What more can one say....

SINGING THE NIGHT AWAY....

Half of this was written by some other cat and I added my version to it...

"Jingle Balls"

Jingle balls, jingle balls, jingle all the day,

Oh what fun they are to swat, and watch 'em dart away!

Jingle balls, jingle balls, jingle all the day,

Oh what fun they are to swat, under the couch they'll stay!

Dashing through the house, chasing Thumber all the way,
Over the chairs we go, I’m laughing at our play!
Mommy’ll be home soon, time to play our part,
Oh what fun it is to run and hide, we’re oh so very smart!

Just a note to those who left me messages [TY your all great] about the pile of presents that I am sitting on in my last blog...they aren't mine! I was looking through them and not a single one of them was for me! Mommy said that she has hidden ours because she knows that Thumber and I will find them and open them while she's not home!

Like I'd do that.....?

SANTA CLAWS IS COMING TO TOWN done my way

Santa Claws Is Coming To Town

I better watch out
I better not cry
I better not pout
Mommy’s telling me why…cause
Santa Claws is coming to town

He's made a list,
And checked it twice;
Gonna bring me toys
and lots of mice.
Santa Claws is coming to town

He sees me when I’m sleeping
He knows when I’m awake
He knows that I’ve been good enough
So he’ll make no mistake!

SO!
I better watch out!
I better not cry.
I better not pout,
Mommy keeps telling me why
Santa Claws is coming to town!

To see me......and okay....maybe Thumber too?

CHANGE THE WORDS MOMMY!

Found this on the Meowsers from Missour site and hopefully Mommy will change from her sounds to ones that I can appreciate more!

Also I like what they call mommy's Xmas to what they call "Merry Catsmas" where we will all wait for Santa Claws to drop the goodies into our "Booties".....

DECKING THE HALLS?

Finally the last ornament is in place and there isn't a space that hasn't been "decked"!

That's what mommy calls it when she hangs up all of her stuff! She even wails [she calls it singing] as she's doing it! I'm never sure whether Thumber and I should run and hide or check her out to see if she's okay?

Still, mommy has this obsession with putting up all of the decorations that she owns and can't rest until she does! This year I helped her [mostly when she wasn't looking]!
She finally got the tree all together and only changed it around twice. The place is too small to put up her big one [she put that one up in the store] so she use Trebor's small one and put it on one of her end tables. I had fun chasing the lights around the tree as she was putting them on. The balls this year are unbreakable and I played with them while mommy was hanging them up.

I don't like the tree sitting on the table because I can't hide under it anymore or snoop for my present!

Yesterday when mommy was decorating outside I got to sneak out when mommy forgot to close the screen door! I forgot all about that cold stuff on the feet! I definitely didn't go too far...too cold and wet for me! It's hard to walk and shake your paws at the same time! I did crab a lot when she picked me up and put me back into the house!

Mommy never has to worry about Thumber trying to get out cause she knows Thumber is too much of a scaredy cat to even stick her head out to look!

So here's what she finally accomplished...with my help...of course...The last pictures I want to show you are part of my Mommy's Tea Pot collections. The Santa one is the teapot with creamy and sugar, plus two mugs. The one is the tea sets that I would have liked to taken and shown Miss Peach's mommy...this one is my favorite, only I wished it could have been painted to look like me. It comes with a salt and pepper shaker. It did come with a cup but that got broken in the move.

THE DECORATING THING?

Mommy has been busy these last two weeks putting more stuff on the walls and out in the porch! It's really kind of strange because she just finished taking down stuff from the walls from those areas and put them away. I do have to admit that this new stuff she is putting up looks better than all of those scary faces! It was really creepy when I'd go out there to look out the windows...having all those faces looking at me! Mommy called that stuff her Halloween Decorations? These new ones are called her Xmas ones?

Are all humans nuts that way or is it just my mommy?

With these new ones she has added a prickly tree that doesn't even have thick enough branches to climb on? What good is that? It doesn't even smell like a tree! Then she put all of those shiny things on it! I like shiny things but mommy doesn't let me play with them...yet she tells me to share my things with Thumber! She should have to share like I do!

Not being able to play with these new things drives both Thumber and me crazy! Some of the stuff moves on that tree and we like things that move...after all aren't we supposed to catch them for her? I don't see the sense of looking and not touching?

Thumber and I did have some fun chasing the stuff as she dragged them around the floor while she was trying to put them up! Mommy even wrapped me up in some of it and I even got to play with my stocking...what ever that means...I don't wear socks...she does? I tell you it gets harder and harder to figure humans out by what they are doing?

This weekend she says she's going to hang stuff outside if it gets nice enough? Why outside...we can't see it out there! Mommy says that it's for the enjoyment of others? See what I mean by being crazy?

It's also been getting pretty cold in here! Mommy says that she's been trying to save energy [whatever that means] by keeping the heat down. She says that were lucky that we have fur coats to keep warm in and she has to put on sweaters? She should try wear my fur! It's not very warm! You'd think by me huddling under my favorite blanket would show her how cold I am and cause the fur thing just isn't working! Thumber is trying to keep warm by sleeping under the chair that sits over the heat thingy...her furry coat isn't working either!

My mommy has also figured out that I've been throwing up my food because I am upset with her! She's right! She moved us here into this place and now we have nowhere to run around in like we used to do like in that other place and that's what is making us lazy! What else have I got to do all day long but lay around and eat!

She was telling me the other day that she's going to think of how we can go outside without being able to run free and get hit by a car? Sounds strange but knowing my mommy she'll think of something! So I'll keep reminding her constantly and maybe it will get done sooner!

Gotta run now as I think she's getting ready to go outside....

MISS PEACH'S TEA PAWTY TIME

I spent the morning getting myself ready for the special tea pawty! I made sure my fur was nice and sparkly clean! Mommy said that she would make me an outfit for the outing but I said no thank you...after all she should know how much I dislike dressing up!
Blue and Jackson picked me up in Blue's Limo-Broom [which by the way was lots bigger than Mommy's old standard] and we got there in record time.
Blue was just as nice as Mommy said she'd be and Jackson was on his best behavior and never once got into my face! He's okay...for a dog.

You should have seen the pretty garden that we had tea in...isn't it gorgeous?

I got to meet Miss Peach and I really love her curly fur...so much more different than mine. I was happy to see the she was well enough to host this party for her Mom's birthday.

Miss Peach had lots of different tea sets and I got to use the one that my mommy said was her favorite...Isn't it nice.... It would be so perfect for Halloween!

They also had so much food there that I was afraid to eat because I might have pigged out and then up-chucked it, making a spectacle out of myself. They were gracious enough to let me take home a kitty-bag so I could eat it here and maybe share some with Thumber. I did nibble on a couple of minty mice and tried to drink the tea but the tea wasn't to my liking so they got me iced water instead.

When we were ready to go we were given a beautiful gold rose as a thank you for attending...isn't mine pretty!

All in it was a great time and I have to thank my hostess for inviting me.

Thumber said she never missed me when I was gone but I know she was fibbing!

MY FIRST INVITE!

Today I'm catching a ride with Blue on her Limo Broom and we are going with Jackson to Miss Peach's Tea Party that she is hosting for her Mommy's Birthday!

I'm so excited to be asked over and I will be on my best behavior and not demand too much attention for myself. Mommy says that I should take Thumber also but she wasn't invited and I told her that it would be too crowded. Besides this is a grown-up thing and Thumber might be to young. I told Thumber that I will ask if I can bring her back a treat instead.

I'm not sure what I'll wear as I hate dressing up and I think my fur is lovely enough to be shown off by itself. As to wearing a hat or bonnet...no way...might mess up my ears and I might not be able to hear anything and I hate missing out on any gossip!

So I'll write you later on how it all went.

Got to hurry as I'm not sure when Blue will be here?

WEIRD FACTS ABOUT ME

This is my response to this Tag Game...
Here are the rules:

*Link to the person who tagged you and post the rules on your blog

* Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself

* Tag 7 random people at the end of your post & include links to their blogs

* Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

I was asked by Tiger Lily if I would like to play this game?

This my first tag game and I hope I get it right....

Weird Facts About Me:

1. Mommy and I believe that I am a re-incarnated cat. Through my mommy's past she said that we have always been together. People who read this will think that we are nuts but we don't care. Mommy says that I am too much like these other cats and she's gone through enough cats in her life time to know the difference! She says that I was with her as a black/Siamese cat, named Simco [1962-1967], when she was a child and we didn't meet up again until I came to her life again in 1978-1996...again as a black/Siamese, named Spooky. We were again reunited in 1997 but this time I have just the colorings of a seal point Siamese. She says that all of my traits and personalities have always been the same and throughout the years I have always shown-up when she has needed me the most.

2. I always know when my mommy is sick! When she had her heart problems and her heart hurt, I would lay on her chest where her heart is and purr so loudly that it would calm her down and the hurt would ease. She finally got her heart fixed but I still come to her every night and purr until she is asleep...or I fall asleep [after all...I'm a cat].

3. I like to be the center of attention! If I see that I'm not the center, then I have this trick that I do to make sure that everyone notices me! I stand on my hind legs and stretch up as high as I can and bring my front paws up beside my ears and give them the cutesy eye look...this makes everyone go awwwwww...then they talk about me! Works every time.....smart huh!

4. When mommy cleans out our litter box, I have to be the first one to use it! It doesn't matter that I really don't have to pee, it's just that I get the clean one first!

5. The other weird thing about me and the litter box is whether I'll let Thumber in it or not? If I catch her using it, I will chase her out of it and then completely over-bury her offerings! Mommy tried once to give us seperate boxes to use, but I still took control over both boxes! It's a wonder that Thumber doesn't have bladder problems!

6. I don't like human food! Although, I will pester mommy while she's making it because I have to ALWAYS know what she's doing! I even have this special meow that sounds just like I am saying "Whatcha doing? Can I see?"

7. I LOVE ICE CUBES IN MY WATER! Mommy and I both have this thing about having to have ice cubes in our water. If she forgets to put some ice cubes in my water, then she knows that I'll drink out of her cup instead. So she makes sure I have fresh cold water. I up-chuck more when the water is old and warm!

Now you know some of the weird things about me!
Who do I tag now......hmmmm?

1. Blue.....to tell about her "one true love"

2. Wilma...to tell about the "evil demon spawn"

3. Jackson...cause I want to know more about him

4,5,6,7. The hot(m)bc...all of the cats that live there "they sound like they would be lots of fun [if only I could let other cats into my space]

IT WAS ALL ABOUT ME

Now it's not...

This about all of the caring "Animals With Blogs" and "Blue"!

I have to thank all of the 56 people, cats and dogs that left "Get Well Wishes" for me! You guys/girls are the greatest!

I am still having some problems with up-chucking but not as much. My mommy has tried all sorts of different food from over the counter to vet-selects and yet I still leave her reminders that all is still not normal. Some of you have left comments that it might mean that I am not chewing enough and I'm afraid that you might be right. It might also be a case of being a little piggy some times?

My mommy has been having a BIG problem with not being able to log on to Blogger to leave comments or write updates but she is trying hard to figure something out...hopefully soon?

A BIG THANK YOU GOES TO ALL OF YOU WHO CARE!

Hopefully I'll be back to being my interesting self soon...

All stay well!!!

I'M BACK...

I'm finally starting to feel better and I'm happier now that Mommy's finally turned the heat up! It was really starting to get cold in here and I've had to sleep under my favorite blanket...

The last few weeks I've been feeling pretty poorly, still throwing up and such! Mommy changed my food again and I'm slowly getting used to it. I tried to rebel at first and wouldn't eat it but then I'd get really hungry and eat too much and then I'd have to throw it up...this made mommy even more worried. One day maybe things will get better?

With all my puking it's made me pretty tired and so I sleep the day away waiting for mommy to get home from work. Since we've moved here there hasn't been any windows to look out now mommy has had to close the windows because of the cold! I miss my old place where we had lots of room to run around and Thumbers and I could chase each other...all we do now is sleep!

Last night I had some fun with mommy!

Mommy was busy getting her supper cooked and was trying to feeding us at the same time. She was being really scatter-brained and was leaving the cubboard doors open...this is a no-no with me around! Of course I had to check out what was being kept inside, as I was checking it out...she closed the door on me!

These doors are spring loaded and are hard to push open with me just using my head...I would push it... then it would bang shut. I did this a couple of times and I could hear her go quiet and listen...I did this a couple of times more before she finally checked to see what was happening. She sure moved slowly...it took her forever to open the door and when she finally did I jumped out before it would bang shut again. This apparently scared mommy cause I heard her yell at me saying that I'd scared her!

It was nice to hear her laugh again! She told me that she had hoped that it wasn't a ghost playing tricks on her!

Silly mommy...the ghost only lives upstairs!

IT'S ALL ABOUT HER...Update

Queen of Halloween here....

Suki is now back from the vet clinic and is definitely happier! Her first response to being home was to run to the food dish! I guess animal hospitals have terrible food also!

Why is it that food that's supposed to be good for you...doesn't taste good?

Anyways...Suki was diagnosed with a urinary infection and was given medicine to help cure it. Thankfully I took her in when I did because things could have gotten worse!

Trying to find a natural cure for urinary problems in humans is bad enough...we can help ours by taking mega doses of cranberry juice...etc. I don't think Suki would have like drinking cranberries?

The blood work came back, verifying the vet's diagnosis and added that her levels of sodium was fairly high! The change in her diet is also a low sodium diet...so I did good that way but I now figure the enemy can possibly be Dodge's drinking water!

The cats had stopped drinking out of their water dish, which consisted of a water bottle attached to a bowl, so I started using another bowl placed further away from their food source and they liked that better. This meant me replacing the water constantly but it also gave them fresh water each time and I cleaned it out more often! I had left the bottle system sit there [too lazy] intending to try it again when I noticed that the remaining water had dried up leaving a white grainy residue...it was salty [no...I didn't taste it]! I have found this in some glasses at work that had gone unnoticed and this I tested...it indeed was salty!

So what does one do now? I absolutely hate our bottled water made here in town...too metallic tasting and it is made by using the town water! Have they removed the sodium? There are a few other bottled water manufacturers that I don't mind but are costly in the long run and can you trust how much is REALLY in them?

What can one do to remove the sodium from our water source without boiling the minerals out of it? Hopefully I can figure that one out?

Suki will now have to take medicine for a week and then have to be urine tested again to see if the medicine took? The vet said that I should take a urine sample and bring it in...this way stress won't be added to Suki. My question is...how does one take a sample from a cat? I don't think she'll want to pee in a cup? The vet suggested I put a plastic bag over her litter box and she will pee on it and I can eye dropper it from there???? Can't see her doing that either! Other problem to solve...anyone out there with a suggestion or answer?

I guess I have a week to figure that one out?

All in all...I had a good nights rest last night, as Suki is no longer laying on my face or complaining! Seems the hospital threat is still in her mind!

Medicine taking this morning was okay for the first half of the dose but the second half made her quite mad at me...hopefully she will have forgotten in 12 hrs before I have to give her any more?

Suki will be back soon, reporting on her "take" of the upsetting time in the hospital...

IT'S ALL ABOUT HER

Suki's not here right now to blog...so me, her mommy, has dropped by to let her friends know how she is doing...

NOT WELL!

Seems I've been waving my magic "health wand" in so many other sick animal's directions that there's only a thin trickle left for her?

Six weeks ago [during the heat spell] she was throwing up a lot so I changed her food to a different ph balanced type and all seemed to be well...the throwing up stopped! But it seems not completely? I would find the occasional vomit spot, but there would be signs of hairball crap in them. Some of the food I was giving to her was for hairball problems so I figured that this might be expected? Her energy levels changed from feeling ill to lots of fun times with Thumber. I thought all was well? Seems I might be wrong?

These last few nights, Suki has been acting strange? I will be sound asleep only to be awaken by her leaning the back half her body against my exposed ear? She normally sleeps beside me but never around my face! It was like she was trying to tell me to listen to her tummy? Suki also prefers to be petted only on her head/face...never her stomach but this time she was offering her tummy up for rubbing...just like you would rub your stomach if it was aching? She was very demanding for me to pet her...just like you would comfort a child in pain!

I wasn't sure whether she had been peeing or not...as I have two cats who use the litter box. So I made one especially for Suki to use. Suki's habit has been to make sure that she gets to mark the litter with her scent first and can even be annoying with her jumping in before I am finished filling it. Not this time! She scratched around in it a couple of times but never tried to void either way? My thought was a bladder/bowel blockage...which can be very deadly to any animal! Upon further checking even her nose was warm and dry! Up goes the worry level!

For you others out there who are just like me and cannot afford to take their animal to a vet, this can be very distressful! It's not that we don't care enough to go deeper in debt for them it's just that we just "can't" go deeper in debt...plain and simple!

Thankfully I have kids who do step in and are now helping me to save something that is very, very important to me! This morning PoD and I took Suki to see the vet!

The vet has physically checked her out and outwardly, she seems to be fine. She's not over or under weight, her gums are pink and her bladder is a normal size. She wasn't crazy about having a thermometer violate her but I was happy to see that she had no fever. The next recourse is to have blood work done up, urine tested, etc....meaning she has to stay overnight. I hated leaving her there to suffer all alone...I know what it's like to be shut up in a hospital...even if you are sick!

Now all we have to do is wait and see...

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

My Mommy just happens to be the "Queen of Halloween" and she has always tried to get me to dress-up...no sir-e-e-e...not me!

Every times she tries, I fool her and just lay down!
I won't budge until she takes it off...nobody's gonna make a fool out of ME!
Thumber is even too smart to put up with that indignity! I guess were both smart & dignified cats!

I do have pictures of the foolish animals that don't mind...notice that they are mostly dogs?
Yup...never gonna be caught wearing anything like that...
I can be pretty scary dressing as myself!

IT'S ALL ABOUT ME...Part 8

My throat is sore from all of the meowing I have to do to get mommy to let me have my turn on this machine that she seems to spend so much time on!

Thumber and I have so much fun in our new place! There is this one cat that likes to visit us a lot. She likes to try and surprise us by jumping up on the window screen downstairs! We think she is trying to be an indoor cat like we are...but mommy won't let her! Mommy says there is too many cats in here right now?

Anyways...when this cat jumps up it scares both Thumber and me and it makes us go into the "attack" mode. As you can see by the picture below, Thumber just hates this cat and it drives her crazy because she can never get at her! With all the noise the both of them makes it scares me and I have to go and see what's going on! See how fluffed both our tails are?

Mommy said that later this cat had a litter of kittens in the bushes that is beside our place and she would occasionally leave some food and water out for her. One day the kittens were gone and mommy said that the mother cat must have moved them to a safer place?

One night mommy heard this kitten meowing real loudly and she just had to go out and find it. Mommy said that it was bitterly cold out and when she found the kitten it was shivering from the cold! Mommy called PoD and she came down and got it...mommy wasn't sure that the kitten would be safe around Thumber and me? Like we would hurt a baby...? The next day mommy heard more meowing outside and went out and found four more! BillyRoo was home at that time and had to help her catch all of them. They tried to find the mommy cat but she was now where to be found...someone had said that a black cat had been killed crossing the street!

Mommy said that the kittens were too young to be out on their own so she decided to take them to the SPCA in a big town near us, so they can find homes for them. Mommy said the kitten were pretty wild and hopefully they can be tamed?

Mommy was pretty sick at this time and I would sit with her to try and keep her calm...her heart didn't sound too good and she said that my purring made her feel better!

One day she went away for a long time and Thumber and I were really unhappy!

The days were pretty sad for us until she finally came back! Her heart sounded a lot better and she was like she was before. Then she started coughing a lot and had to go away again...this made us unhappy again! She spent a lot of time coughing and having to go away...I was becoming really worried that I would follow her everywhere...more than I've ever done before!

One day she started the "packing boxes" thing again and she said that we were moving...again! I made her laugh when I brought her toys that I though she should pack! The next thing I know Mommy took us to our new house! This house was so much smaller than our last place and had hardly any windows where we could look out! Thumber didn't like the move too much and she pouted by stay hidden from mommy for a few days until she couldn't take it anymore and had to go pee! After that everything was fine and mommy stopped her coughing. She said that the other place was making her sick and no one was going to live there until it was fixed up!
I kind of liked the place as Thumber can't away from me when were playing "chase each other" and I don't have to run as far!

This is a pic of me getting ready to scare Thumber!

This one shows Thumber being mad because I scared her...
