Mommy said that today is groundhog day? It's supposed to mean this rodent comes out of the ground and looks for his shadow...why would he do that? I can see him being concerned about whether or not I would be around to make his day an unhappy one! But really...

50 FACTS ABOUT ME

My mommy said that she saw something on her friend, Jeannie site and said that it might be an idea for me to talk about, seeing as it's one of my most favorite subject! Hers were 100 facts and I don't think I have that many [or mommy might be too bored to go that far] so here they are in no particular order:

1. I was born the same day as my human-sister's [PoD] daughter [AJ], so we share the same birth date. Which is good because then nobody will forget it!

2. I am a third generation incarnate...my previous names have been: Simco & Spooky! Notice they're all S's? I've always been part Siamese.

3. Everybody in my family [& Thumber] has blue eyes including my humans: QoH, Pod, BillyRoo, AJ & JD.

4. I cross my eyes when I want to confuse someone when they are looking at me...this brings the subject around to me. I do it to mice so it will confuse them...also so I can pounce on them!

5. I was born in Alberta on my mommy's sister's farm making her my first mommy and she called me "Eenie".

6. I had only one sibling, a sister, who was called "Meanie"! She lived up to her name!

7. Meanie and I moved to Saskatchewan with my now mommy and Meanie went to live with a neighbor who changed her name to "Cruella DeVille". She took a trip on the "Rainbow Bridge" a couple of years later.

8. My most favorite thing to do in the whole world is to be with my mommy!

9. My next favorite thing to do it to catch and play with mice.

10. I also share my living space and mommy with my great, great grand daughter "Thumber" and human brother BillyRoo [when he's not away working].

11. I DON'T PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS! I love chasing Thumber and keepinf her on her toes!

12. 1 DON'T LIKE TO SHARE MY TOYS!

15. I own a blog called "Baby Doodie" [kind of a silly name but mommy likes it]. I'd write more but mommy has to be talked into it and doesn't listen A LOT!

16. I like to be the first one into the litter box after it has been cleaned...just to make sure that Thumber understands who's top cat in our house!

17. I don't like to be dressed in clothing...I will lay down until it is removed.

18. I refuse to be walked on a leash or wear a collar!

19. My mommy has never had to bathe me...I'm that clean of a cat and she finds that she is not allergic to me or Thumber so she feels that we don't need extra cleaning.

20. I've learned how to puke everywhere just to get attention. Although it backfired on me once and I ended up in the vet's office with a thermometer shoved where it's not supposed to be! It turned out I was sick and had to have medicine but now I still use the puke thing to make my mom worry?

21. I used to be an outdoor/indoor cat for the first 5 years of my life. Now I'm just an indoor one.

22. I pretend that I don't like Thumber but I would really miss her if she was gone. Don't tell her I said that!

23. I don't like human food! I will nibble on somethings but most just to see what it is.

24. I LOVE to bug mommy when she's trying to cook a meal...I ask lots of questions!

25. I LOVE to the center of attention and I have this cute begging thing that I do that gets me the attention that I need.

26. I sleep 20 hours out the day

27. I KNOW when my mommy is sick...I like to comfort her!

28. I am always waiting at the door when she comes home full of questions that need to be answered.

29. I love it when mommy decorates. She takes out her toys and I get to play with them.

30. I hate car rides!

31. When we lived out in the country mommy and I used to go for walks. Now that we've moved into Dodge we don't do that any more :(

32. I don't like the place where we are living right now...not enough windows to look out.

33. I loved to sit on the edge of the bath tub when my mommy is soaking in the tub, trying to relax. I still play with the bubbles. Mommy says I ask too many questions when she's trying to relax?

34. Right now I am the same age [human years] as my mommy which is 56...she doesn't mind if I tell someone her age cause she doesn't let age bother her.

35. My most favorite food is called "Salmon, Tuna & Shrimp" by Fancy Cat. Mommy has tried tricking me by giving me others...but I know the difference!

36. My favorite treat that mommy makes for herself is a cream cheese dip with crackers. I sit watching her until she gives it to me [on a plate of course] and it has to be on little bits of crackers.

37. My favorite thing to do while playing [after a long nap] is to sit in a box and have mommy throw toys into it. I then scoop up the toy with my claws and throw it out. It's a game we like to play together.

38. My most favorite toys are these three stuffed cats and I like to try and pull their legs off but I never can as they are made way too tough!

39. I like to play with the yarn as mommy tries to knit something [she doesn't do that to often].

40. I like to be at my mommy's feet when she's trying to make her food but not when she is washing her dishes...she's way too messy and I get wet every time.

41. I love to eat grass. In the summer mommy brings in fresh stuff...she says it's like feeding rabbits...whatever that means?

42. I love to look out the window and miss my other place where there were LOTS of windows.

43. I love to climb trees but since I've been made into an indoor cat I don't get that pleasure any more and mommy keeps promising me that she will build me something soon?

44. I love to watch my mommy do stuff and I try to give her lots of hints but she never listens much.

45. I like to meow at my human brother's door when ever he's at home. I don't know why her keeps the door closed from me...he says that I puke on his bed too much...which I've only done once!

46. I love unwrapping presents! I love the sound of paper being torn.

47. I hate being cold!

48. I like to sleep under my mommy's blankets at night...we sleep together until she gets too restless and then I have to sleep somewhere else!

49. I don't like having my picture taken as mommy never knows when to quit flashing that thing in my face...I see spots for a long time.

50. I never went to school and I know I'm smarter than most animals/people that I know!

So that's all I can think of for now. If my mommy had let me do more things then maybe I would have more to tell you...

SOMEONE LIKES ME...THEY REALLY LIKE ME!

I've just received my first award from one of my new friends - BJ from Serendipity. It's called the "Thinking Blogger's Award:

This is the first person who really has read between the lines on my blog and has accepted my thoughts as thoughts instead of just attitude...I really am a deep thinker! One has to be in order to live with my mommy QoH who is the deepest thinker I know!

So in turn who do I think are BIG THINKERS...

1. BJ -Serendipity: for inspiring me to keep thinking and for really being understanding! I like her stories cause it makes mommy read to me!

2. Miss Peach's Meows...with all of her problems she just keeps on going and going and going! She is an inspiration to all us cats!

3. Daisy the Curly Cat...she's got my kind of attitude and always leaves me with kind thoughts!

4. Simply Siamese...Kaze, Latte & Chase. The have my most favorite topics and I especially like their "Meezer Rules". It takes a lot of thinking to do all these.



5. Last but not least...my mommy Queen of Halloween! If it was for her and her fingers I wouldn't be thinking at all!

HAM COOKIE UPDATE

As you might of guessed...Mommy should have looked before jumping to any conclusions!

She figured that the ad took too much effort and a lot of designing [she should know cause that's part of her job] to be a bogus thing...well she was wrong! If you click on the ad the heading reads "Save good people from bad products"...some ads leave you wondering "what were they thinking"? It was advertising for opinions on misleading advertising and what people thought of them?

I think it's a great idea for a treat and it has great wrapping for what could be something tasty for cats and dogs. Some of you out there already make animal treats for your own pets! What would be so wrong about adding diced ham to them?

I might even like one?

SOMETHING NEW FOR THE HAM LOVERS

I have been known to nibble on a peice of ham and maybe a bit of cookie but normally I perfer just cat food.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Better late than never...so mommy says?

Mommy has been going on and on about this thing she calls a new year's resolution! She's says that one has to make a list or have at least one item to change about themselves.

What if one is so perfect that they never have to change anything?

How can I change perfection?

She says that maybe I could change the way I feel about Thumber?

How does she know that I haven't? She's not home all day long...maybe I've been good to her while she's been gone? Thumber is still young and she still has a lot of learning to do and maybe she isn't smart enough to get it right the first time? How does she know it isn't a game we play with each other?

Or that, maybe, I could share my boxes?

Everybody know that all boxes in this household belong to me...the only box that I'm willing to share is the litter box! Even that has rules that applies to the use of it! That brat never covers properly...so the task is left up to me! Besides the one upstairs can be hers...climbing stairs is getting hard on the hip joints and she's the younger one!

Or that, I could be okay with her sleep in my favorite spots?

I've been letting her already or hasn't she noticed that? Besides it's a lot to ask with the way she drools when she sleeps and leaves the bed messy with all of her long hairs...so she's already pushed the limits on that issue!

Or that, maybe I could let her eat first, instead of me? Then I'd starve to death cause that little piggy would eat it all and then I'd only have crumbs left from her throwbacks...yuk! If she thought I'd up-chucked a lot now...she'd see what would happen if I did!

Or that, maybe I could be less vocal when company comes?

That would mean I'd have nothing to say and it's not like there's a lot of company!

Or that, maybe I could let mommy eat in peace without always asking her "what's that...can I see"?

I'm only trying to see to her welfare...what if it wasn't good for her or she might be mistaken and eat my stuff?

So as to my new year's resolution....

So, I say to you all out there...HOW CAN I CHANGE SUCH PERFECTION?

CATSMAS AT MY PAD

Mommy finally put out all of presents [& Thumbers] and placed them under the tree, telling us that we'd better not peek...we didn'tSeeing as Thumber and I were good and didn't snoop she let us look at them for awhile and I figured I'd test mine out to see how it would be come opening time...seems mommy wrapped mine well, cause I couldn't get it open! Look at all the bows...they're my favorite!

Thumber just sat there sniffing at her's, so naturally I had to go over to give her some hints on what to do! When I got a look at her's I saw that her's were bigger than mine and I'm sure she got more! So giving her the evil eye I managed to psychic her out and snitch one....

Then mommy called me a bad kitty and I tried to hide it...but she said that wasn't fair to Thumber so I told her that I was only trying to show her how to open it....


Finally Catsmas morning came and we got to open all of our presents....I had to open Thumber's cause she wasn't smart enough and obviously never listened to my lessons...
Mommy spent the rest of the morning getting her food ready for the supper later that evening and I helped her by asking lots of questions....

CHANGE THE WORDS MOMMY!

Found this on the Meowsers from Missour site and hopefully Mommy will change from her sounds to ones that I can appreciate more!

Also I like what they call mommy's Xmas to what they call "Merry Catsmas" where we will all wait for Santa Claws to drop the goodies into our "Booties".....

DECKING THE HALLS?

Finally the last ornament is in place and there isn't a space that hasn't been "decked"!

That's what mommy calls it when she hangs up all of her stuff! She even wails [she calls it singing] as she's doing it! I'm never sure whether Thumber and I should run and hide or check her out to see if she's okay?

Still, mommy has this obsession with putting up all of the decorations that she owns and can't rest until she does! This year I helped her [mostly when she wasn't looking]!

She finally got the tree all together and only changed it around twice. The place is too small to put up her big one [she put that one up in the store] so she use Trebor's small one and put it on one of her end tables. I had fun chasing the lights around the tree as she was putting them on. The balls this year are unbreakable and I played with them while mommy was hanging them up.

I don't like the tree sitting on the table because I can't hide under it anymore or snoop for my present!

Yesterday when mommy was decorating outside I got to sneak out when mommy forgot to close the screen door! I forgot all about that cold stuff on the feet! I definitely didn't go too far...too cold and wet for me! It's hard to walk and shake your paws at the same time! I did crab a lot when she picked me up and put me back into the house!

Mommy never has to worry about Thumber trying to get out cause she knows Thumber is too much of a scaredy cat to even stick her head out to look!

So here's what she finally accomplished...with my help...of course...The last pictures I want to show you are part of my Mommy's Tea Pot collections. The Santa one is the teapot with creamy and sugar, plus two mugs. The one is the tea sets that I would have liked to taken and shown Miss Peach's mommy...this one is my favorite, only I wished it could have been painted to look like me. It comes with a salt and pepper shaker. It did come with a cup but that got broken in the move.

THE DECORATING THING?

Mommy has been busy these last two weeks putting more stuff on the walls and out in the porch! It's really kind of strange because she just finished taking down stuff from the walls from those areas and put them away. I do have to admit that this new stuff she is putting up looks better than all of those scary faces! It was really creepy when I'd go out there to look out the windows...having all those faces looking at me! Mommy called that stuff her Halloween Decorations? These new ones are called her Xmas ones?

Are all humans nuts that way or is it just my mommy?

With these new ones she has added a prickly tree that doesn't even have thick enough branches to climb on? What good is that? It doesn't even smell like a tree! Then she put all of those shiny things on it! I like shiny things but mommy doesn't let me play with them...yet she tells me to share my things with Thumber! She should have to share like I do!

Not being able to play with these new things drives both Thumber and me crazy! Some of the stuff moves on that tree and we like things that move...after all aren't we supposed to catch them for her? I don't see the sense of looking and not touching?

Thumber and I did have some fun chasing the stuff as she dragged them around the floor while she was trying to put them up! Mommy even wrapped me up in some of it and I even got to play with my stocking...what ever that means...I don't wear socks...she does? I tell you it gets harder and harder to figure humans out by what they are doing?

This weekend she says she's going to hang stuff outside if it gets nice enough? Why outside...we can't see it out there! Mommy says that it's for the enjoyment of others? See what I mean by being crazy?

It's also been getting pretty cold in here! Mommy says that she's been trying to save energy [whatever that means] by keeping the heat down. She says that were lucky that we have fur coats to keep warm in and she has to put on sweaters? She should try wear my fur! It's not very warm! You'd think by me huddling under my favorite blanket would show her how cold I am and cause the fur thing just isn't working! Thumber is trying to keep warm by sleeping under the chair that sits over the heat thingy...her furry coat isn't working either!

My mommy has also figured out that I've been throwing up my food because I am upset with her! She's right! She moved us here into this place and now we have nowhere to run around in like we used to do like in that other place and that's what is making us lazy! What else have I got to do all day long but lay around and eat!

She was telling me the other day that she's going to think of how we can go outside without being able to run free and get hit by a car? Sounds strange but knowing my mommy she'll think of something! So I'll keep reminding her constantly and maybe it will get done sooner!

Gotta run now as I think she's getting ready to go outside....
